ABSTRACT
The objectives of the research were to study the third year student of meditation course in the Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University for their satisfaction with this course. The objective was to investigate the factors which were relative to satisfactions and satisfactions of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. And concerning about learning and teaching system were an evaluation of curriculum through the Buddhist meditation course assertion into the supporting factors as well as environment towards to others.
The sample was 197 of the third year students from these faculties; faculty of Buddhism, faculty of Social and Humanities in academic year 2004, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. Assessed by Yamane’s simply random theory, the result was 95% of confidence, 0.05% of uncertainty. The exploratory research was mostly found that the Buddhist monks and novices graduated the highest education level in Buddhist studies. They were also in third year students of social faculty satisfied with the Buddhist meditation course which was provided by the university.
A number of sample group satisfied in the appropriate instructors, moreover, having perspective to practice more meditation. Additionally, the perspective was focused toward the inappropriate environment caused on accessing potential instruction, it was said that the meditation centre of the third year students made a noisy. The instructional assessment was found in good level of students’ satisfactions especially the theorical grading systems in third year of meditation course. The study of the relative factors was concerned with the unsatisfied of Mahachulalong kornrajavidlylaya University’s third year students toward the education of the Buddhist meditation course. The comments to curriculum were inadequate degree.
The suggests were as follows:
1. The curriculum should be added a practical course and providing a particular centre for practicing intensive mediation.
2. The instructors should be able to adapt the teaching method intensive practice of meditation.
3. The educational activities ought to be properly increased on the theory.
4. There should be appropriately education environment in order to avoid making Buddhist meditation in public place.
5. The relationships between the instructors and the learners could be determined to access their students closely.
The educational evaluation should be done before the next semester begins.
