ABSTRACT
The purpose of the research was to study the impression toward offering the registration and evaluation service and to study the problems and the obstacles toward receiving registration and evaluation service of the monk-students of Mahachulalongkorn rajavidyalaya University Phayao Campus.
The samples used in this study consisted of 175 monk-students of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University Phayao Campus, during academic year B.E. 2546. The instruments used in this research consisted of a checklist questionnaires and 5 levels of ration scale and free commendations, approved by the experts and experimented for finding alpha-coefficient value and reliability index of 0.97 and then used them to collect data from the samples.
Data analyzed by the uses of Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, Content Analysis and conclusion in description.
The results of this research were as follows:
1. The impression of monk-students toward offering service in registration and evaluation affairs are–success, respect, character, responsibility, relationship and working condition – generally in medium level.
2. Problems and obstacles toward receiving service in registration and evaluation are:
2.1 Problems and obstacles in rules and regulations of registration and evaluation affairs found that operation by rules and regulations, not to be limited in assignment, shortage of continuous relationship, For improvement and commendation were operation holding strictly on rules and regulations, widened and continued information, created bulletin-board or information board, including operation holding on rules and regulations by time-in limitation.
2.2 problems and obstacles in manuals, documents, registration and evaluation were found that they were unclear in details, shortage in readiness, information, and manual in use, including having mistakes in averaging results of grade points. For improvement and commendation was informing toward the monk-students’ more awareness and understanding in using document and studying the details, step-by-step in operation and responsibility affair, including correctly and clearly checking and investigating manual and documents.
2.3 Problems and obstacles in time used in contact and coordination about registration and evaluation were found that operations of the officers were sluggish and discontinuous. Examination announcement was not in time of regulated in academic calendar, unable to contact the officers, not to be-step-by step operation, racking of system. Class registration was not during the time of regulated. For improvement and commendation were improving works holding or right and rapidity, and improving steps of working to protect confusion, announcing examination clearly and rightly, and arranging more officers of the registrations and evaluations.
2.4 Problems and obstacles in knowledge and understanding toward the education system was found that teaching was not in integration, courses description were not clear and exhaustive, shortage of counseling of succeeding education. For improvement and commendation were improving learning and teaching in integration, education system should be more focused on the learners, controlling quality of learning and teaching system, improving more efficient in teaching and improving curriculum holding on learners’ needs.
