ABSTRACT

The purposes of this research were to study and compare the Problems of Management of Under Criteria Aged Child’s Training Center in the Temple in Phrae Province as perceived by training Teacher and the committee of the Training Center in 5 aspects ; namly, personnel, budget, place and building, Equipment and Learning activities of the training centers.

The samples of this study were 153 administration committees and 55 training teachers. The questionnaire with the reliability of more than 0.50 was used as research tool. The statistics used to analyze the data were persentage (%), mean ( ), standard deviation and t-test.

The results of research were as follows:

1. The situations of Pre-School Training Centers in the Temples in Phrae Province in 5 aspcts;

1.1 For personnel; in each center, there were fewer than 3o children. They are males and females with the ages of 3-4 years. The majority of the centers had 1-3 training teachers and 6-10 committee members. The majority of training teachers finished upper secondary education or its equivalent and used to pass the taking ease of children training course. Mostly, the committee met to do the centers’ activities in the temples and the majority of them did not pass the training course in developing the centers.

1.2 For budget, the majority of the centers got budget support from the Tambon Administrative Organization without the payment of maintenance fees and lunch expenses.

1.3 Regarding location and buildings, the location largely covered the areas of 1-2 ngan. The majority of the centers are located in the temples with their buildings in a good condition.

1.4 For equipment, there were playing devices in playing grounds of each center while teaching instruments were not sufficient and teaching media were prepared as experiences corners.

1.5 Regarding learning activities, the majority of the centers held child training and raising activities as considered appropriate and the activities focusing equally on the differences of child development.

2. Regarding administrative problems of pre-school children centers it was found that the centers, on the whole, faced the problems about personnel, budget, location and buildings, material and equipment, and child training and raising activities in the middle level.

3. When comparing the administrative problems of the centers, it was found that the problems of the centers, on the whole, were significantly different for all the aspects.
