This was quasi-experimental research undertaken to study moral reasonings and moral attitudes of Pathommasuksa VI. And Mathayomsuksa IV School students. The samples for primary school students were 25 primary school students, grade 6/1, from Patumwanaram school of Patumwan District, Bangkok for the experimental group, and also 25 primary school students 6/2, from the same school were for the controlled group.

For secondary schools students, the samples were 40 secondary schools students, grade 10/1 form Striwatrakang school, Bangkok for controlled group and 32 secondary schools students, grade 10/2, were for experimental group. Research tools are the constructed test on moral reasoning and moral attitude scale for both the groups. Percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test were statistics used for the analysis of data.

Research findings were as follows:

(1) The 6th grade primary schools students of the controlled group were found to be at the stage 4 of moral reasoning which is the stage oriented to the abiding by the law and responding to the obligations of duty both before and after teaching with the post-test mean scores of 4.43 and pre-test mean scores of 4.23. The post-test mean scores wore significantly higher than the pre-test mean scores.

(2) The 6th grade primary school students of the experimental group were found to be at the stage 4 of moral reasoning before teaching (( =4.41) while after teaching they were found to be at the stage 5 of moral reasoning (( =4.63). The mean scores of pre-test and post-test were significantly different at 0.01 levels.

(3) The 6th grade primary schools students of the controlled group after teaching were found to be at the stage 4 while those of the experimental group after teaching were found to be at the stage 5 of moral reasoning. The mean score of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the controlled group.

(4) on the average the 6th grade primary school students of the controlled group, before teaching, indicated ‘undecided’ with moral attitude statements (( =3.24) while after teaching they indicated the agreement with moral attitude statement (( =3.51) it was the same with the 6th grade primary school student of the experimental group: before teaching they indicated ‘undecided’ with the moral attitude statements while after teaching they indicated the agreement with moral attitude statements.

(5) It was found that on the average, the 10th grade secondary school students of the controlled group were at the stage 5 of moral reasoning both before and after teaching. Before teaching, they were found with mean score of 4.86 while after teaching they were found with the mean score of 4.81 The mean scores before and after teaching were significantly different at 0.01.

(6) On the average, the 10th grade secondary school students of the experimental group were found to be at the state 5 of moral reasoning both before and after teaching. The mean score after teaching is 4.88 and before teaching is 4.87 which is not significantly different.

(7) On the averages, the 10th grade secondary school students of both the groups, after teaching were found to be at the stage 5 of moral reasoning. The mean score of the experimental group was equal to 4.88 and that of the controlled group was equal to 4.81. The mean scores of both the groups were significantly different at 0.01.

(8) On the average, the 10th grade secondary school students of both the groups were found to express moral attitudes at ‘good’ level both before and after teaching, and the mean scores of both the groups after teaching were higher than those before teaching.

(9) On the average, the 10th grade secondary school students of both the groups, after teaching, were found to have moral attitude at ‘good’ level. The mean score of the experimental group was 3.84 while that of the controlled group was 3.75. The mean score of the experimental group was higher than that of the controlled group.
