Research Title: The Roles of Buddhasastrapandits in Phitsanulok

ABSTRACT
The objectives of study and research on “The Roles of Buddhasastrapandits in Phitsanulok” are to study their roles including their status and building central information as statics for service to this college and public.
One hundred and three persons of Buddhasastrapandits in Pitsanulok have shown the varieties of their roles to society either monk or layman. The monk has honorific rank is Phra khru of special classification. One of them, his high governmental position is the vice - the ecclesiastical provicial governer, the ecclesiastical District Head, the ecclesiastical sub. District Head, the abbot, the secretary of them. They pay the function on education by teaching in school; Pariyatti – Saman, Buddhist Sunday School and by doing welfare school. They have been Dhamma-talkers and lectures of Dhamma etc. amount of 66 at percent of 64.07. While the status of layman is shown by doing civil service – religious teacher in jail, in the force of military, some teachers besides have been business men in personality also, amount of 37 at average 35.10.
In this case, we have known that Buddhasastrapandits take the two of status namely – the monk and layman. In these actions of them should be recorded as statistic for the service from this college to public. Otherwise their duties follow the main policy of Buddhist University for social welfare by teaching by introducing their spirit to all.
From the collection of promblems and suggestions in part 4 of questionnaire of this research, its reflection makes us know many cases. They are obstruction namely; budget was not sufficient or nothing and power in function is limited. The power is less than their ideals of working.
